Gwendolyn Hutchinson-Solomon
Gwendolyn Solomon is the founder and President of Equity Financial Services Group, a life/health agency that services the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Gwen is an accomplished insurance professional with over 16 years of experience in the life and health field. Gwen’s effectiveness has given her the title of “Family Dream Keeper,” because she knows what guidance to give clients based off of where they are financially. Her skills have helped numbers business/client families produce favorable and long-lasting retirement income results.
Gwen is dedicated to being more than an insurance professional; her opinions are highly valued and clients respect her judgment. During her ten-year tenure as a Medical Claims Analyst at CareFirst, Gwen has successfully gained knowledge that keeps her abreast of the everchanging laws of the insurance industry.
Gwen earned a Bachelor of Science in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University. Before becoming a full-time life and health insurance broker, funeral services is where she got a birds-eye view of the cost of burial as well as the importance of preparing in advance and maintaining a successful retirement income portfolio. Her goal is to help families be able to leave a legacy for their loves ones in addition to paying for their final expenses.
Mrs. Solomon is proud to work with and receive support from some of the best insurance companies in the industry such as Nationwide, Aetna, United Health Care, CareFirst, MassMutual, Athene, North America, Transamerica, American General, Kaiser, Mutual of Omaha, etc. She is licensed in eleven states, including Michigan, where she was born and raised.
Outside the office, Gwen dedicates numerous weekends at Washington, D.C., Samaritan Inns helping high school students acquire community service hours. Gwen enjoys organizing the fellowship dinners that are tremendously successful. Gwen relishes volunteering because it counteracts the effects of a hectic work schedule and interacting with those less fortunate provides a sense of purpose that keeps her grounded and happy.
